    2. Send me your desired adjustments, such as text, colors or small details.
    3. I will customize the card for you, so it perfectly matches your wishes.
    4. You will receive a digital proof to review everything at your leisure.
    5. After your approval, the cards will be printed and shipped quickly.

    1. You send me your wishes and ideas for the card.
    2. I create a first sketch based on your story and style.
    3. Together we fine-tune the design until it feels completely right.
    4. You receive a digital proof to carefully check everything.
    5. After your approval, the cards are printed and quickly shipped.

After birth

As soon as your baby is born, send me the final details such as name, weight, and time. I will finalize the card and, after your approval, send it directly to the printer.

    The designs from the collection are ready-made and will be adjusted to your wishes, so that it truly becomes your unique card.

    Each design from the collection costs €195.

    This price includes:

    • the design as you see it on the website
    • minor adjustments and corrections
    • a digital proof
    • arranging the printing

    The printing costs are additional. I will personally source these for you, so that they perfectly match your card and wishes.

    To give you an idea: for 100 cards, printing costs are usually around €98, depending on the paper and size.

  • What you get with custom work...

    Do you love Mrs. Emmer's cards, but can't find the perfect birth announcement for you? No problem. I'll design a custom card especially for you - completely tailored to your wishes.

    A custom-designed birth announcement costs €355.

    This price includes:

    • a sketch proposal based on your ideas
    • as many feedback rounds as needed until you are completely satisfied
    • a digital proof
    • arranging the printing

    Printing costs are extra. I will personally source these for you, ensuring they perfectly match your card and your preferences.

How long does the process take?

I can have the cards from the collections ready for you within a week. A custom design will naturally take more time - this design process takes approximately 2-3 weeks.

Can I still make changes later?

Of course. Texts can be adjusted up to the last moment. Furthermore, I would advise having the design ready 3 weeks before the due date.

We don't know if it's a boy or a girl. How does that work then?

No problem! I can make a girl's and boy's version of every design. Feel free to let us know your wishes!

What kind of text do you put on a birth announcement card?

The text on a birth announcement card is very personal. Often, the name, date of birth, weight, and length are mentioned, possibly supplemented with a sweet or playful message. How many birth announcements should I order?

That's entirely up to you. Most parents order between 75 and 150 cards. The printing can be ordered in batches of 25 cards.

Can I pre-order envelopes?

Yes, you can! As soon as the card is to your liking, I will let you know how to order envelopes. There are many different colors of envelopes! It is useful to have the envelopes at home in advance, because then you have enough time to write them at your leisure.

Can I arrange the printing myself?

Would you like to take care of the printing yourself? That is of course also possible. I will then charge an additional layout fee of €85. The original designs/files remain in the possession and property of Mevrouw Emmer. I will deliver the printing files as jpg files.

Can I return my order?

All birth announcement orders on Mevrouw Emmer are custom-made, each ordered card is printed especially for you. The right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to our orders, you cannot return your order. Mevrouw Emmer does, however, guarantee 100% customer satisfaction on all her services.
